| 1 | 0.0 | Leave Heraklion Airport following signs for Heraklion – this will take you onto the main highway. Continue on the highway in the direction of Rethymnon. |
| 2 | 88 | After approx 88kms, you will be passing through the area of Rethymnon. You will continue going straight ahead going through an underpass until approx 107.2 kilometres when there is a sign for Giorgioupoli. |
| 3 | 107.4 | Take right turn to Giorgioupolis, signposted Giorgoupolis, and drive until you see a STOP sign. |
| 4 | 107.5 | Drive straight through Giorgioupolis until you see on your right hand side a sign signposted Vamos 10. Continue for approx 6.3 kms. |
| 5 | 113.8 | You will arrive to a small fork junction. On your right hand side there is a sign ‘Vamos 5’. Take the right turn here and follow the road. |
| 6 | 117 | Continue for approx 3.2 kms and you will enter the Vamos’ village area with “Vamos” sign on your right hand side. After 50 meters approx you will get to another fork junction. On your right hand side you will see two signs directing you to Chania and Rethymnon. Take the right turn following the sign, which directs you to Chania. |
| 7 | 117.1 | Continue for 100 meters until you reach the STOP sign at the T - junction. In front of you there is a sign directing you to Kefalas, signposted ‘Kefalas 4’. Take the right turn here. |
| 8 | 121.5 | You will arrive at a T – junction in Kefalas and there is a small taverna on your right. Turn right here and continue through the village for approx 400 meters. |
